Attaching an external antenna to a Cellsocket |
Whereas the Cellsocket is great at allowing you to hookup your cellular phone to a cordless or regular telephone handset, there may not be enough signal inside your home or office to allow the setup to work. (if you need help understanding "why" take our reception tutorial here) The smart folks at Cellsocket designed an external antenna port on the back the Cellsocket allowing you to attach any number of high gain cellular and/or PCS antennas. This page provides all of the antenna, connector and adapter resources you'll need to get your Cellsocket communicating with your cellular carrier. |
Attaching an external antenna to a Cellsocket is easy! Once you remove the "rubber duck" antenna that is included with your Cellsocket you will find an SMA Female connector. |
You will need 2 things in addition to your cellsocket device to have the added benefits of an external antenna. 1 - The Antenna (click on the various different types in the graphic above to go to that page) 2 - Cable to attach the antenna to the cellsocket (or an adapter) You will find all of our antennas are easily interfaced with the cellsocket depending on the carrier you are using.
