Nextel Phones - What's the difference?

All of the information on this site has addressed the primary reasons for poor reception and ways to improve it -- Those basics still apply to Nextel Phones. However, many of the antennas on the other pages are meant for Cellular and PCS/GSM phones but NOT for Nextel. Here is why...

As you can see from the illustration here, the frequencies for Nextel are slightly different from cellular. An 800 MHz cellular antenna would work for some of the Nextel frequencies but not all of them.

That is why we have put together this section for Nextel specific antennas.
